A shift to spring applications

AÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ment continues to evolve in response to faculty needs, and this year brings an important change: The call for applications is moving from the fall to the spring semester. This shift allows faculty more time to plan their participation and ensures new mentoring connections are in place ahead of the academic year.

Building connections across departments

A distinctive feature of AÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ment is its focus on interdepartmental connections. Unlike traditional mentoring structures that are often confined to a single academic unit, AÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ment fosters relationships across colleges and disciplines, broadening professional networks and creating opportunities for collaboration. Whether through one-on-one mentorship or peer circles centered around shared interests, AÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ment strengthens faculty support systems beyond departmental lines.

Program support

Leading the program this year is Michaele Ferguson, associate professor of political science, who serves as faculty fellow for AÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ment in the Office of Faculty Affairs. Ferguson is dedicated to ensuring mentors, mentees and peer circles receive the guidance and resources they need to make the most of their experience.
