- The Franklin Institute recently gave INSTAAR senior faculty fellow Katherine Suding the Bower Award for achievement in Science citing her transformative contributions to the field of restoration ecology. This mini-documentary tells her story鈥攆rom growing up as a nature-curious Colorado kid to becoming a pioneering ecologist.
- Vriend, an expert in avalanches and sand dunes, will join INSTAAR as a senior member of the directorate. Institute leadership hopes her appointment will strengthen ties with the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
